Devlog #6: rendering optimization


Planet Fleet has just received a series of fixes (for the dev builds) to optimize rendering. Whereas before the game was barely able to render a dozen units smoothly on a high-end PC, it’s now able to render over 100 of them. With that said, we’re aiming to push the bar even higher to allow experiencing battles in-game featuring 1000+ units as a visually and gameplay-wise smooth experience. For now, we’re focusing on some of the low(er) hanging fruit features, such as:

  • integrating music
  • adding more new unit models
  • fixing most important bugs.
